Facebook Advertising Strategy – Optimize FB Ads for 2018
Do you know what your Facebook Advertising Strategy is going to be for 2018?
Facebook has recently made more changes to the ad platform and you need to make sure you are staying on top of the game when it comes to optimizing your facebook ads in 2018.

In this video, I will be breaking down the best facebook advertising strategy for 2018 and what you need to do to create highly successful campaigns.

Some of these Facebook ad strategies might be known to some of you, but there is a certain way to implement them in your campaigns so you are getting the full effect.

Here’s the quick list of the best Facebook Ads Strategies for 2018:

Social Stacking – this is my #1 secret for FB advertising in 2018. If you’re not doing this, you need to start NOW! Essentially, you are running 1 ad, but you are running multiple different “ad sets” to this 1 specific ad. The reason you do this is because all the social proof is on 1 ad. This strategy alone could improve your Facebook ads by 10x.

Lead Touch Stacking – I’ve somewhat coined this term, but many other marketers use this technique and it works! This is the practice of adding your leads into multiple different systems. For instance, if someone signs up to one of your offers, you will want to put them on your email list, many chat, Facebook group, etc. Take every product, video or piece of content you have, and when people sign up to your offers, make sure you are giving them the opportunity to get inside each of these touch points.

Lookalike Audiences – You’ve heard of it before, but now you need to hit groups of about 2 to 6 million people. Run a conversion campaign to this audience and let it run forever. ONLY run this ad to a small offer that is low cost. Don’t run this ad to an expensive product. This is a great way to start growing your list from a cold audience. Start your Facebook Ad budget at $5 or $10 until it starts converting.

Retarget Inside Instagram and Facebook – You can now advertise to people based on the users engagement. This includes watching videos or if they visited one of your pages. For instance, if you have an Instagram page, you can select this audience in Facebook and target people who have visited this page in the past 30 days. Setup some new ads using this strategy if you have a page with a lot of traffic and put a great offer in front of them.

Stronger Offers – I can’t stress this enough and it’s one of the most overlooked aspects of marketing in general, but you need to make STRONGER OFFERS. It doesn’t matter if you have the best targeting setup, ad image, etc. If you can’t make a great headline and give your audience something they “actually want” then don’t even bother. Figure out what your audience wants, build it, then serve it to them. It’s really that simple. If you just provide the same service or offer as all of your competitors, you will be beating your head against the wall trying to get conversions. Take risks and test new Facebook ads every week.

Facebook Video Ads – This is a great opportunity to get lower cost per action. 2018 is the time to focus on making your videos better as this type of content is being consumed more and more everyday. Image ads still work great, but video opens up new doors to retargeting people who view your ads. For instance, you can shoot a new video ad and only show it to people who watched 75% of one of your other video ads. That group is your warmest audience and the conversions here will be way higher. Go out there and try it.

Mobile News Feed – I always setup ads and create an ad set that only targets the mobile new feed. Turn off instagram, Audience network and all of the above. You can keep the suggested videos on, but make sure you are running your video ads on mobile only. Setup the same ad with 2 different ad sets to A/B test this and see for yourself. I can almost guarantee your CPC will be greater and conversions as well.

Facebook Lead Forms – I use to hate them…now I love them. Facebook lead forms are converting for certain niches and it’s working GREAT! For example, real estate buyers leads are so easy to setup with a Facebook Lead form. I believe part of the success here is because they don’t have to leave Facebook to enter their information. Time is key here. People don’t want to click away from Facebook, so if you can give them what they want within 30 to 60 seconds, they will take action.
Instagram Stories – I recommend if you are trying to reach a new audience and you can target your audience easily by targeting your competitor, run IG stories! But be sure to have animation saying to SWIPE UP!
So that’s my best Facebook Advertising Strategies for 2018 with all my tips on how you can optimize your ads.
